You are at the centre of the treatment you will receive - not a recipe or checklist for all those with seemingly the same condition. Your way of moving and loading in your body, and the way your neural pathways experience this, is unique to you like your fingerprints - and your personalised treatment and rehabilitation will reflect this.
Your assessment will integrate your entire body and you as a whole person with your unique goals and perspectives. A contemporary and detailed diagnostic assessment establishes the nature of your presentation, then extends further to discover the underlying causes of your problem, creating an opportunity for long lasting recovery. Treatment addresses all body systems - you can expect to experience a combination of hands on manual therapy (like muscle, joint, fascia, dura and visceral manipulation), rehabilitation, education and attention to your overall wellbeing.
Having your unique goals and lifestyle understood, and knowing what is wrong and what you can do about it, empowers you to feel confident in playing a highly effective role in your recovery. Further, the relationship between you and your trusted health professionals and practitioners is leveraged with communication (in-person, email, photography, video), putting you at the centre of a collaborative team, working together for your health and wellbeing. Once you have attended an Initial Physiotherapy Consultation, you may book a "Bring my Instructor" consultation, where we work together to ensure you and your health professional/practitioner are confident in executing your specific plan.
